LawnSync Terms and Conditions

LawnSync Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 23 October 2026

LawnSync is operated by TGS IT Solutions Pty Ltd, ABN 21 699 877 266 ("LawnSync", "we", "us" or "our").

Contact: support@lawnsync.net

These Terms have three parts. Part A applies to everyone who uses LawnSync. Part B applies only if you post, quote for or accept Jobs in the marketplace. Part C applies to everyone.

Part A. Using LawnSync

A1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the LawnSync application, website and marketplace ("Platform"). By creating an account you agree to Part A and Part C. If you post, quote for or accept a Job you must also expressly accept Part B, which the Platform will ask you to do before you can do so.

You must be at least 18 years old to post, quote for or accept Jobs. If acting for a business or another person, you must have authority to do so.

In these Terms:

A2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your account details reasonably up to date. You must protect your login details and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. You must not impersonate another person, misrepresent your qualifications or insurance, create fraudulent listings or use another person's account without permission. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, lawn plan and Community posts. We keep anonymised records of Jobs and payments you took part in for as long as the law requires us to keep financial records, and a one-way hash of your sign-in identity to stop free AI analyses being claimed repeatedly (see our Privacy Policy).

A3. AI-generated content is informational only

The Health tab's photo diagnosis is generated by an AI model and is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not professional horticultural, agronomic or pest-control advice, and we do not guarantee its accuracy. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional for anything consequential (for example, before applying chemical treatments at scale).

A4. Community content and messages

You keep ownership of photos and text you post to Community, but you grant LawnSync a licence to display that content within the app to other users. Do not post anything illegal, harassing or infringing. We use automated moderation and user reports to review content and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms. You can report a post, comment or message and block another user from within the app.

Messages sent in Job chats are private between the participants and are moderated for harmful content. Do not use chat to share phone numbers, email addresses or links; the Platform may block messages that contain them.

A5. Product recommendations

LawnSync links to third-party retailers (for example Amazon) for products mentioned in your care plan or diagnosis results. We may earn a commission on purchases made through these links. We do not guarantee the availability, price or suitability of any linked product, and we are not responsible for your transactions with third-party retailers.

A6. Platform subscriptions

LawnSync is free to use with a monthly allowance of AI lawn analyses (currently 5 to start, then 1 a month). Optional paid plans (currently Basic and Pro) are sold as auto-renewing monthly subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Their price, billing period, included features and renewal arrangements are shown in the app before purchase.

A7. Platform availability

We will use reasonable care and skill to operate LawnSync, but access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, faults or events outside our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every message, alert or notification will arrive immediately. Users should confirm time-sensitive Job arrangements directly. This does not remove our legal obligations concerning the Platform.

A8. Unacceptable conduct

You must not use LawnSync to: commit fraud, threaten or harass others; publish unlawful, discriminatory or defamatory content; post fake Jobs, false reviews or misleading credentials; share someone else's private information without authority; arrange unlawful or unsafe activities; infringe intellectual property rights; or introduce malware, bypass security or improperly collect user information. Report unsafe conduct, suspected fraud or other breaches to support@lawnsync.net. Contact emergency services directly if there is immediate danger.

A9. User content and privacy

You retain ownership of content you upload, including Job descriptions, photographs and reviews. You grant LawnSync permission to store, format and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and provide the features you use. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload it. Do not publish another person's address, photograph or contact details without authority. Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy at https://api.lawnsync.net/legal/privacy. A Customer's street address is shown to Providers only after the Customer accepts a Provider's quote or a Provider accepts a fixed-price Job. Information received through a Job must only be used for legitimate purposes connected with that Job, unless another lawful basis applies.

A10. Apple App Store

This agreement is between you and LawnSync, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app and is not responsible for claims relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Part B. Marketplace Terms (Customers and Providers)

B1. LawnSync's role

LawnSync provides a marketplace where Customers can post Jobs and Providers can choose whether to accept them or send quotes. LawnSync does not itself perform, direct or supervise the lawn-care or gardening work advertised by users.

The agreement to perform a Job is between the Customer and Provider. LawnSync is not a party to that agreement and does not promise to fulfil either user's obligations. Providers decide whether to accept work and are responsible for how they perform it, subject to the agreed Job requirements and applicable law. Use of the Platform does not, by itself, appoint a Provider as LawnSync's employee, agent, partner or representative. The legal status of any relationship remains subject to applicable law and the actual circumstances.

LawnSync does not guarantee that: a Job will receive an offer or be accepted; a Customer or Provider will attend, pay or complete their obligations; work will meet a user's expectations; or information supplied by another user is accurate. These statements do not exclude responsibility for LawnSync's own conduct or obligations imposed by law.

B2. Posting, quoting and accepting Jobs

There are two ways to book:

Customers must describe Jobs accurately, including the location, scope, relevant conditions and known hazards. A budget stated in a Snap & Quote request is a guide only; the agreed price is the accepted quote.

Before work starts, both parties should agree, using the chat where possible: the work included and excluded; the total price; the date and access requirements; who provides equipment and materials; waste removal; cancellation and weather-delay arrangements; and any required licences, qualifications or insurance. Changes to scope, price or timing require both parties' agreement. Keep a written record in the Platform where possible.

B3. Customer responsibilities

Customers must: have authority to arrange work at the property; provide reasonably safe access; disclose known hazards, including concealed objects, damaged surfaces, relevant underground services, dangerous animals and hazardous materials; secure pets and keep children and bystanders away from work areas; avoid requesting unlawful or unsafe work; and pay the agreed amount in accordance with these Terms, subject to any lawful entitlement to dispute or withhold payment. Customers should make reasonable checks about a Provider's suitability and request evidence of relevant insurance or qualifications before work begins.

B4. Provider responsibilities

Providers must: only accept work they can lawfully and competently perform; exercise the care and skill required by law; assess the site and stop or decline work where conditions are unsafe; use appropriate equipment and protective measures; hold any licences, registrations or permits required for the work; maintain insurance required by law and any insurance promised to a Customer; accurately describe their qualifications, experience and insurance; comply with applicable workplace safety, environmental, chemical-use, tax and business obligations; obtain the Customer's agreement before performing chargeable additional work; and promptly notify the Customer of damage, incidents or an inability to complete the Job. Providers must not undertake specialist or regulated work without the required authorisation.

To receive payments a Provider must complete identity and bank verification with our payment partner Stripe and accept Stripe's terms for connected accounts. Providers are responsible for their own ABN, GST, income tax and other business obligations. When registering, a Provider confirms that they operate their lawn care business legally in Australia (with an ABN where required), that they hold the insurance their work needs, such as public liability, and that they are responsible for their own work, licences, tax and insurance.

B5. Checks, ratings and insurance

Unless LawnSync expressly states that a particular check has been completed, you must not assume that we have verified a user's identity, qualifications, criminal history, insurance or competence. Where a verification badge is displayed, it refers only to the specific check described. It is not a guarantee of future conduct or workmanship. Ratings and reviews reflect users' experiences and opinions and are not a warranty or endorsement by LawnSync. Do not assume that a Job is covered by LawnSync insurance. Any insurance arranged through the Platform must be expressly identified, with its coverage, conditions and exclusions made available before booking. Providers should maintain public liability insurance suitable for their work. Customers should check that any insurance they rely on covers the particular Job.

Ratings. After a Job is completed and paid, the Customer may rate the Provider from 1 to 5 stars and add a comment. Ratings and comments are shown to other users with the Customer's first name and the date. Ratings must be honest, based on the Customer's own experience of the Job, and must follow the content rules in Part A (no abuse, personal contact details, false statements or irrelevant content). We do not remove a rating because it is negative; we remove a rating only if it breaks these rules. Anyone can report a rating. A Provider may not rate themselves or ask others to post false ratings.

B6. Payments, fees, cancellations and refunds

How payment works. Payments for Jobs are collected by LawnSync using our payment partner, Stripe, and, after the Job is complete, paid out to the Provider's connected Stripe account.

  1. After a Provider is confirmed for a Job, the Customer pays through the Platform. The price shown at payment is the agreed price, less any Pro member discount funded by LawnSync. There is no additional fee for the Customer.
  2. The Customer's card is authorised (a hold is placed), not charged, when they pay. The money is taken only when the Job is confirmed complete. If the Job is cancelled before then, the hold is released.
  3. A Job is confirmed complete when: (a) the Provider enters the completion code that the Customer was shown in the app; (b) the Customer confirms in the app that the Job is done; or (c) the Provider asks the Customer to confirm and the Customer neither confirms nor reports a problem within 48 hours. When a Job is confirmed complete, the payment is captured. LawnSync deducts its service commission and the remainder is sent to the Provider through Stripe. When the money reaches the Provider's bank account depends on Stripe and the bank.

3A. If the Customer reports a problem before the Job is confirmed complete, the payment stays on hold while LawnSync reviews it. LawnSync may then release the payment to the Provider or release the hold to the Customer. The Customer can also cancel the Job through the Platform while the payment is on hold.

  1. A card authorisation can lapse after a period set by the card networks. If a hold lapses before the Job is complete, the Customer may be asked to pay again.

LawnSync's commission. LawnSync charges Providers a service commission, currently 10% of the agreed Job price, deducted from the amount paid out to the Provider. The commission and the amount the Provider will receive are shown to the Provider before they accept a Job or send a quote. Pro member discounts are funded by LawnSync and do not reduce the Provider's payout. No undisclosed platform fee forms part of the transaction. LawnSync's fees are shown without GST, because LawnSync is not currently registered for GST.

Not escrow. Do not assume funds are held in trust or escrow, or that payment is guaranteed, unless expressly stated. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms.

Cancellations. Customers and Providers must promptly notify one another if a Job needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. A Customer can cancel a Job through the Platform until payment is captured, and no charge is made. A cancellation charge is payable only where it was clearly disclosed and agreed before booking and is lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.

Refunds. After payment is captured, a Customer who believes the Job was not performed, or was not performed with due care and skill, should contact support@lawnsync.net. LawnSync may refund the Customer in full or part where it considers a refund appropriate, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Refunds and chargebacks recovered from Providers. If a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back for a Job, LawnSync may recover the amount, including its own commission and any bank or processing costs, from the Provider by reversing the transfer or deducting it from future payouts.

Disputes. A dispute about payment, attendance or workmanship is primarily between the Customer and Provider. LawnSync may assist with communication but does not guarantee a settlement or act as a court or arbitrator. Nothing in this section removes a user's statutory rights or LawnSync's responsibility for its own payment-processing errors or other conduct.

Promotional codes. From time to time LawnSync may offer a promotional code ("Promo Code") that gives a Customer a credit towards a Job booked through the Platform.

  1. A Promo Code gives a credit of up to the amount and on the conditions stated for that code (for example "up to $60 off one mow"). If the Job costs less than the credit, the unused credit is lost. If the Job costs more, the Customer pays the difference.
  2. Unless we say otherwise, a Promo Code can be used once per Customer account, on one Job, and cannot be combined with another Promo Code, a gift voucher or a Pro member discount.
  3. A Promo Code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, sold or transferred, and may only be used for Jobs in Australia booked through the Platform.
  4. LawnSync funds the credit. A Promo Code does not reduce what the Provider is paid for the Job.
  5. We may set a limit on the number of times a Promo Code can be used, set an expiry date, and withdraw or suspend a Promo Code at any time. We will not withdraw a Promo Code that has already been applied to a Job the Customer has accepted, unless item 6 applies.
  6. We may cancel a Promo Code, and recover its value, if we reasonably believe it was obtained or used through fraud, by creating multiple accounts, or in breach of these Terms.
  7. If a Job that used a Promo Code is cancelled before payment is taken, the Promo Code can be used again if it is still valid. If a Job is refunded after payment is taken, the Promo Code is not reinstated unless we decide otherwise.
  8. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

B7. Responsibility for Jobs and third-party conduct

Customers and Providers are responsible for their own acts, omissions and obligations in connection with a Job. Subject to Part C, LawnSync does not accept contractual responsibility for an independent user's: workmanship, failure to complete work or failure to attend; failure to pay or provide an agreed refund; damage to lawns, plants, irrigation, buildings, vehicles or other property; injury caused while performing or receiving a Job; theft, fraud, misleading statements or other unlawful conduct; or failure to hold appropriate qualifications or insurance. To the extent permitted by law, LawnSync excludes liability for loss arising solely from those independent acts or omissions.

This exclusion does not apply to the extent that LawnSync's own breach of these Terms, negligence, unlawful conduct or failure to meet a non-excludable legal obligation caused or contributed to the loss. Using LawnSync does not waive your rights against another user or any rights you have against LawnSync under applicable law.

B8. Claims arising from your conduct

You are responsible for loss you cause through your fraud, unlawful conduct, negligent acts or material breach of these Terms. If a third party makes a claim against LawnSync directly because of that conduct, you must reimburse LawnSync for reasonable losses and reasonable legal costs to the extent caused by you and lawfully recoverable. This obligation does not cover loss caused or contributed to by LawnSync; is reduced to reflect responsibility attributable to others; requires LawnSync to take reasonable steps to minimise loss; and does not authorise LawnSync to settle a claim at your expense without your consent, which must not be unreasonably withheld. LawnSync will promptly notify you of a relevant claim and provide a reasonable opportunity to participate in its defence.

Part C. General

C1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. LawnSync remains responsible for providing its own Platform services in accordance with applicable law, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. Any limitation or exclusion in these Terms operates only to the extent lawful. You may be entitled to a refund, cancellation, rectification, compensation or another remedy where the law provides for it.

C2. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawnSync is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including outcomes relating to your lawn or purchases made through recommended products.

C3. Suspension and account closure

We may take proportionate action where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unsafe conduct, security risks, non-payment or a material breach of these Terms. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the issue and allow an opportunity to respond or remedy it. Immediate suspension may be necessary to protect users or comply with law. You may request a review by contacting support@lawnsync.net. You may close your account in Settings. Closing an account does not cancel existing Job obligations, automatically cancel an app-store subscription or remove accrued legal rights.

C4. Complaints

Contact support@lawnsync.net with details of your complaint. For a Job dispute, first contact the other party where it is safe and reasonable to do so. We may help the parties communicate, investigate Platform misuse or take action under these Terms. You remain free to contact a regulator, insurer, court or tribunal. You are not required to give up those rights to use our complaint process.

C5. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for reasonable legal, security or operational reasons. We will normally provide at least 30 days' notice of changes that materially affect existing users, unless an urgent legal or security issue requires shorter notice. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing Job agreement. If a change materially disadvantages you during a prepaid Platform subscription, you may cancel the affected subscription and receive a proportionate refund for its unused period. We will seek express acceptance where required by law.

C6. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not restrict any right to bring proceedings elsewhere under applicable consumer law. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, leaving the remaining provisions in effect.
